History of Racism

Have you ever asked yourself what you where taught at school about racism?

Have you ever searched in the history of your country, how you are connected to racism and colonialism?

Or even asked yourself when racism started all together?

The word race was used for plants and animals only until the 17th century. Dr. Francois Bernier is known as the first MD to use the word race in a context with humans. With it the hierarchy of Human Race was created. He rated the white race as the highest, the one who has the power and wins. The darker the skin of a human, the lower his place in his hierarchy.

His decision is not about gens or biological facts, no….. it’s his concept, his construction of the supremacy of white humans. A construct is never founded on research or empiric study. It’s simply a theory, a simple thought process. However the consequences for all humans are the root of the actual situation.
