You know it all, you really do???
Yes, I do!!
Did you ever fall into this trap?
I sure did, many a times over the years!!
And I have missed out on learning from others equally often!!
On a conscious level we know that we don’t know it all, but our subconscious mind is driving us to pretend that we know it all.
Why is that?
Where lies the root of this behavior?
Hard to say because I don’t know it all.
It might be that we feel more secure by this behavior.
It might be that we are afraid of admitting that we don’t know it all,
That we are perceived as a looser, a fool, a badly educated person?
How did we learn all these fears?
Did our parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles praise us when we where kids?
„You are so clever“, „How did you know that?“ „Well done, you are so clever“
Especially those among us who have been brought up by elderly people who were eager to encourage us. But with time we might have missed out on some learning experiences, which now leaves us in a uncomfortable situation.
As this is all happening in our subconscious mind it’s kind of difficult to fix it with our conscious mind. How lucky we are to have a tool that allows us to access these old stored emotions and update them with new perspective. With time we will learn to accept that we don’t know it all. We will learn to listen closely what other people are saying.
I am sure this will benefit all of us!
